Haaziq Altaf Campaign Manager
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” – Thomas A. Edison
Why did you join Re(Construct)?
I joined the Re:Construct campaign because I wanted to join a team that brings real change to a community that I am personally and emotionally connected to. Their mandate to create change for the waste dilemma existing in Calgary was intriguing to me and pragmatic to achieve. I wanted to apply the skills I have to this historic and innovative feat with a team of like minded individuals.
What are your goals individually and for the Re(Construct) team?
As the External Relations Lead Coordinator, I want to maintain a solid and consistent connection with lawmakers who will turn our proposals into real action. I also want to create a network of industry partners, local businesses, and any individuals who can implement and promote our ideas starting at a municipal level. Through Re:Construct, I want to become a more convincing advocate that is able to effectively create awareness for problems in society, and become someone who is able to create an action plan to resolve the problems I identify. As a team of passionate advocates, I want to achieve continuity with our diverse ideas, and maintain these meaningful relationships in the future.
